Role Summary

Anthropologie brand is looking for an Apparel Color and Print intern to join us for the Summer of 2025.

Anthropologie is seeking an enthusiastic Apparel Color and Print Intern to join our team for the summer. This intern will play a role in supporting our Color and Print department and assisting with various apparel categories. The ideal candidate will provide operational support across the department, contributing to its overall efficiency and success.

The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/2 through 8/8 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.  

 

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

    

  1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component required for the design internship position you are applying for, you will be notified directly by 11/8. If requested to complete a project, it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position. 

  

  1. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.   

  

  1. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.    

  

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team to identify emerging trends and contribute to print and color inspiration research.
  • Assist with designing new prints and colors as directed by design team.
  • Create original artworks relative to the seasonal concept.
  • Assist in the creation of development packs for color and print then partner with cross-functional Product Development Partners.
  • Color Palette creation and standardization
  • Assist with maintain relative colors systems and tools.
  • Attend and participate in weekly design meetings and relevant benchmark meetings.

Role Qualifications

You are innovative, curious, artistic & detail oriented. You possess a passion for design and trend direction. You have a strong understanding of our brand and customer. Use design and fashion information to inspire color and print. Designs and details that stay true to Anthro DNA. Clear aesthetic and color point of view.

You will utilize hand sketching, drawing, painting, dyeing and CAD skills to communicate design ideas in the development of product as it relates to print and color design. By use of a range of hand, techniques, with an ability to balance color based on mood, color palettes, fabric and texture. Considering the layout, placements and usage.

  • Thorough understanding and appreciation of our customer/brand
  • Passion for design with the ability to recognize and translate trend direction into brand appropriate product.
  • Extremely strong fine art and CAD skills.
  • Understand basics of the design process and garment construction and possess general fabric knowledge.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Contribute to overall print inspiration and research as it relates to surface design.
