Role Summary

Urban Outfitters is looking for a Planning & Allocation intern to join their team this Summer. Through data driven analysis and decision making this intern will support teams to maximize sales and profit of a specific product category.

The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/2 through 8/8 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.  

 

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

    

  • Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.  This is due at the time of your application submission.

  

  1. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.   

  

  1. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.    

  

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024. 

Role Responsibilities

·         Learn and analyze key reports

·         Identify regional and attribute opportunities across both retail and direct

·         Prep for and participate in monthly OTB meetings, owning a specific subset of attributes within our product categories

o    Report prior month/quarter sales, inventory, margin performance

o    Suggest future forecast adjustments based on financial learnings

o    Influence inventory adjustments to support business opportunities while maintaining higher mmu %

·         Learn about the various functions of our cross functional partners – Buying/Store Planning/Buying Operations

·         Visit stores to understand store operations and site specific opportunities

Role Qualifications

 

·         Exceptional excel skills in formula use and manipulating data sets

·         Knowledge in creating reports and statistical analysis skills

·         Strong communication skills

·         Excellent organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to work well within a team environment
